Works both over your electric range, or over your twin compartment kitchen sink, to create extra counter space when needed!
The sleek, tapered frame of this handcrafted stove top cover is made from solid, 1-inch thick pine, and colored black with India ink, then finished in black hard wax oil for protection, while allowing the natural feel of the wood to come through. The tabletop is hardened with black epoxy resin, for strength and durability, then sanded back to a smooth, matte finish to provide a stunning grain contrast. A lacquer finish on the tabletop makes for a durable and water resistant work surface.
Every piece of wood is different. Please expect natural imperfections & variations of the wood, such as checking and knots. The epoxy process on the tabletop is intended to fill-in and stabilize all of these imperfections, creating a smooth, stable work surface. Stove top covers are for decorative use and should never be used as a cutting board. Epoxy resin is not a suitable cutting surface.
"DO NOT USE ON STOVES WITH PILOT LIGHTS"
Please be sure your oven & stove top is completely cool before placing the cover on, otherwise you risk burning it. Stove top cover is not flame resistant or flame retardant. Stove top cover should not be left on the stove at all times as to ensure proper ventilation of any gas fumes that may be present. The consumer has been made aware and assumes any risk in using this stove top cover.
